DFM was established in 1979 and is the result of the extraordinary inventive and create spirit of its founder Sergio Marcantoni.
After 11 years working at the Centro Sperimentale Metallurgico on behalf of the government, in 1983 Marcantoni (who until that point worked at the experimental centre by day and his own company by night) decided to focus all his efforts on his project: an accessories company for interior blinds.
After working on an innovation in this field in the early 90s, at the dawn of the new millennium he chose to focus an idea he’d had years before but never brought to fruition: that of the pleated insect screen.

As a matter of fact, besides the Eclypser blackout blind, DFM is also the creator of Sharknet, the number 1 pleated insect screen in Italy, which works in the same way as the patented movement system (discover the page) of Eclypser, registered and filed in 2003 at the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
A patent exported worldwide, to 35 countries.
Over the years DFM has increased its productivity more and more, thanks to the idea of processing its products using pleating machines at its production centres.
This made it possible to speed up the operational phases of production, eliminating the need to turn to third parties.
